It's official, John Cook and Todd Bishop have left the Seattle Post-Intelligencer and joined the Puget Sound Business Journal to launch a technology news site and online community.

We intend to build the region’s pre-eminent technology news source, filled with breaking news and useful data, and enriched by the participation and involvement of people throughout the technology community,” said Emory Thomas Jr., publisher of the Puget Sound Business Journal and the new technology news site. “We are tremendously fortunate to enlist these two nationally recognized journalists to lead the new venture. By bringing Bishop and Cook into the Business Journal fold with our own national award-winning staff writer Eric Engleman, we have assembled a dream team of tech reporting expertise.

Great news for the Seattle Tech and Startup communities. Cook and Bishop will continue to blog on the new site, with Bishop covering Microsoft, and Cook covering venture capital and startups. A preliminary launch of the new site is expected in the coming weeks, under a name and at a web address to be announced but you can sign-up to be notified of their launch here.
