Putting Chocolate on A Map

Posted by Rob Lewis on Wed, September 19, 2007 1:40 PM · Filed under Vancouver , Web 2.0 · No Comments

If you read this blog and like chocolate, you'll love Chocomap.

Chocomap is the brain child of Pam Williams of Ecole Chocolat in Vancouver.  To keep abreast of chocolate making trends during her travels, Pam started a directory of chocolatiers and chocolate makers from around the world. Once requests for her list starting coming in from other chocolate afficianadoes, she decided to put the directory online and share it with the public. Her Systems Administrator, Vincent Hallberg, suggested using the Google Map API and the rest is history. There are now over 1,200 chocolatiers and chocolate makers on the map and Chocomap has become the destination for finding out where to get your chocolate fix anywhere in the world.
