Refer an engineer to Seattle's SEOmoz and get paid $12K if they get hired

This morning Seattle SEO software company SEOmoz launched an ambitious recruiting program for top-notch software engineers.  The company will pay $12,000 to anyone who refers a software engineer that is hired by the company—including the engineer themselves.

“We’re profitable, growing quickly and want to expand our engineering team to accelerate our ability to develop new products,” said Rand Fishkin, CEO and Co-founder.  “We’ve already got an amazing team of engineers, we just need more,” added Fishkin.

“We’re looking for a wide range of experiences from just out of school to ten years in the business,” said Kate Matsudaira, SEOmoz’s VP of Engineering.  The SEOmoz engineering team presents an environment well suited to creative software engineers. “We attract people who get excited about creating systems as complex and powerful as the big guys, but with a fraction of their resources.  These kinds of engineers naturally develop solutions to problems other engineers would claim are impossible,” added Matsudaira.

Engineers hired through the program will also receive a $5,000 shopping spree to be used for equipment in their home or office to do their work for SEOmoz, and up to $10,000 for relocation expenses.

In 2010, SEOmoz achieved over $5.5 million in revenue and added more then 3,000 new customers.  The company expects to more than double that performance in 2011.
