Research in Motion acquires Germany's Scoreloop, which has done work for iOS and Android

BlackBerry maker Research in Motion has officially acquired Scoreloop, a company based in Munich, Germany.

Scoreloop works with developers to inject social elements into games and has worked with both Apple and its iOS platform, and Google and its Android platform.

The company, which aims to make games both more social and more profitable, will now integrate its technologies exclusively with BlackBerry platforms, presumably for games on the PlayBook.
