Research in Motion announces 4G PlayBook

The Waterloo-based BlackBerry maker Research in Motion has officially announced two additional PlayBook tablets.

At at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, the Canadian tech titan said that, later this year, two additional tablets will launch that support the upcoming fourth-generation networks.

In Canada, only Telus has touted a 4G network, but by the time RIM's full tablet family is launched, other major telcos will likely have followed suit.
