RIM's newest toy: next-generation Blackberry Pearl 9100 showcased

Introducing RIM's newest tech toy: the Blackberry Pearl 9100. The latest in the Pearl series of Blackberry smartphones, images of this particular one were leaked out onto the Internet earlier this week.

Packing Wi-Fi, 3G technology, a Trackpad, Music keys, RIM's proprietary SureType keyboard, BB 5.0 OS, a 3-Megapixel camera, email and instant messenging features with sleek, sexy new looks, the Pearl 9100 looks to be RIM's attempt to revive the brand in style.

And word has it that not only will Telus will be first to host it on its own network in Canada, but that the device will be released in both black and pink skins too. Release date and price are still unknown.
