Recruiter Robert Half International recently introduced online salary calculators to provide job seekers and employers with immediate access to average starting salaries in the accounting and finance, information technology, legal, administrative, and creative and marketing fields.
Since 1950, Robert Half International has conducted research on salaries in its areas of specialization and produced accompanying salary guides for hiring managers and other professionals. The salary guides also provide insight into the latest employment trends in a given field. The new salary calculators allow users to quickly determine an average starting salary range for their job title and location; job seekers also can see what a position pays in neighbouring cities and search for available jobs.
You can check out their Information technology salary calculator here.

Fineprint: Average starting salary ranges contained in the salary calculators are based on research conducted for the company's 2010 Salary Guides. Information in the guides is based on the thousands of job searches, negotiations and placements managed by Robert Half's staffing and recruiting managers, along with the company's ongoing surveys of senior executives.
