Rocket Fuel Opens First Canadian Office in Toronto

by Knowlton Thomas

Rocket Fuel, a provider of artificial-intelligence advertising solutions for digital marketers, has opened a new office in Canada. The company's first Canadian office, Rocket Fuel will lay roots in Toronto.

Globally, the U.S. company has offices in New York, London, and elsewhere, with further international expansion plans this year. In Toronto, Rocket Fuel will reside on the 27th floor of the TD Canada Trust Tower on Bay Street.

So why did Rocket Fuel expand to Canada? The company says that it decided to open an office in Toronto "due to strong demand from Canadian advertisers," particularly in retail, mobile, and travel sectors.

The Toronto office is Rocket Fuel's 12th worldwide. Senior Account Executive Riaz Sheikh, previously with Yahoo and Travelzoo, will head the Canadian division.

Rocket Fuel also recently named Ron Codd, former CFO of PeopleSoft, to its Board of Directors. As well, it recently hired Peter Bardwick as CFO and Eric Porres as CMO.
