Rogers, recently crowned the worst internet throttler in the entire world, has released its Q3 report.

In the third quarter, Rogers gained 166,000 new subscribers, and activated and upgraded over 600,000 smartphones. It now has 9.3 million subscribers.

“Rogers delivered a balanced set of financial and subscriber results in the third quarter, with continued growth in the face of an extremely competitive environment," said Nadir Mohamed, President and CEO of Rogers. "The strength of our asset mix, combined with a focused execution on our priorities – wireless data growth, customer retention and managing our cost structure – enabled Rogers to generate continued strong margins and free cashflow while increasing the amount of cash returned to shareholders by double digits year-over-year.

Rogers saw a 28% boost to its data revenue, which helped push its overall revenue up by 1%, but its annual ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) was down $2.59 from last year to $61.79 (still the highest among Canada's telecommunications companies).
