Salesforce Million-Dollar Hackathon is Back and Better than Ever

The massive demand for employee and customer facing mobile apps has fueled the growth of the Salesforce developer community to 1.7 million members.

To leverage that, Salesforce has announced that the Salesforce $1 Million Hackathon is back—and better than ever.

This year the hackathon will inspire developers to create new mobile apps on the Salesforce1 Platform.

With $1 million in cash prizes, including a $250,000 grand prize and dozens of prizes of $10,000 or more, the best new mobile apps will be announced at Dreamforce 2014 in San Francisco.

“This hackathon is going to be awesome,” said Adam Seligman, vice president of developer relations, Salesforce.

“Last year we saw some crazy cool mobile apps, and developers are going to show us even more amazing innovation this time around. With all the prizes, we expect this year’s event to be twice the size and we can’t wait to see what our community comes up with during the Salesforce1 $1 Million Hackathon,” he added.
