Seattle Post-Intelligencer Printed Last Edition Yesterday, Today It's Web-Only

It started with the exodus of their bloggers and yesterday saw the death of its print publication.  The Seattle Post Intelligencer printed its last edition on Tuesday and now is Web-only.  According to the Globe and Mail, Hearts' decision to run Web-only version came after it failed to find a buyer for the paper. Seattle follows Denver, as that city also lost a daily paper this year. Not only that, but

...last month Hearst said it would close or sell the San Francisco Chronicle if the newspaper couldn't slash expenses in coming weeks.

The P-I had 181 employees and was 146-years old.
