Sensibill Adds Mark Cohon, Michael Woeller to Board of Directors

Financial Technology startup Sensibill has added Michael Woeller and former CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon to its Board of Directors.

Woeller served for more than two decades in executive IT positions for Canada Trust, TD Bank, and CIBC. He has also served on a number of industry boards including Interac and MasterCard Canada.

Earlier this year Sensibill raised a $2 million in seed round led by Impression Ventures and included Six Squared Capital, the Ontario Centres of Excellence, and Ryerson Futures.

“Mike brings a wealth of expertise having led pivotal changes at some of the largest financial institutions in North America,” says Sensibill Founder and CEO Corey Gross.

Sensibill’s platform gives customers insight into their purchases via elegant, intelligent receipts accessible from digital banking applications. Customers never have to hunt for a receipt.

“From my time processing billions of financial services transactions, I can really appreciate the Sensibill approach to digital receipts,” states Woeller. “Sensibill is is a great example of a Canadian mobile technology company building a solution that is useful to everybody.”

In 2013 Cohon was appointed to the Order of Ontario for e​xemplary leadership in bringing Canadian institutions to prominence.

The two join Gross and Impression Ventures’ Bryan Kerdman, an investor in the Canadian technology community for 35­ years, on the company’s board.
