Share breaking news in real-time with this free iPhone app

One of the latest innovations to come out of The Next 36, a Toronto-based entrepreneurship program aiming to monetize the next great wave of Canadian entrepreneurs is Posterboard, a photosharing app designed for "social photo reporting."

This soon-to-be-released free iPhone app will allow anyone and everyone to upload photos of breaking news events directly to the app's photo database (read "geo-wall"), in both real-time and with geo-specific tags, providing news organizations worldwide a rich source locally-reported photos to purchase for their own content.

Reinforcing a growing trend of crowdsourced news content being syndicated by news organizations, the intent behind this app appears to be to create a simple and easy way for users to upload and share their photos with multiple news organizations in one go.

Join Posterboard on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date, and check out their FAQ list for more details.
