Shifting into Overdroid: Six Android-based mobile devices are being activated every single second
Last year, 100,000 Android devices were being activated per day. Last month, it was 400,000. Now, thanks to a growth rate of more than four percent per week, it has already hit 500,000—that's 22,000 per hour, or 360 per minute, or 6 per second.
That's one hell of a busy little green Droid.
Despite these amazing numbers, Android's market share actually peaked back in March and has seen declined slightly, largely due to the iPhone being added to Verizon's roster in February.
