Shiny Ads kicks things off in 2011 by hiring Zunaid Khan

Earlier today, Dave Forde from Profectio.com announced that Shiny Ads, a Toronto-based startup, has just appointed Zunaid Khan as their new VP, Business Development and Sales.  Prior to joining Shiny Ads, Zunaid was Director, Strategic Alliances and Product Management at Canoe.  

Zunaid told us that he joined Shiny Ads because he “wanted the challenge of building a business from start-up again.” He was attracted to the company because “the solution easily helps web publishers address the under-served market of small and local advertising.”  Shiny Ads is a self service advertising platform that helps web publishers to reduce the costs of acquiring small and local advertisers

Shiny Ads was one of the finalists at the Canadian New Media Awards in 2010 for the “Digital Media Technology of the Year” category.  They also won an award in New York last year for “Best Sell Side Technology/Service” at AdWeb3.0.
