ShipGooder.com - Shipping Rate Search Engine From Toronto

Posted by Varun Mathur

ShipGooder.com is a Toronto-based start-up which provides a neat little shipping rate search engine. Users enter two zip codes alongwith the weight of the package and the shipping rate comparisons are displayed, from various small and big carriers such as FedEx and US Postal Service. They announced recently that they crossed 1 million queries on their system so far this year, and expect to double that by the end of this year. More from the press release:

“ShipGooder.com is powered by our proprietary Rapid Rate Server (RRS) technology, which allows local and regional couriers and messengers to compete directly with large national carriers” said Franc Vodopivec, President of ShipGooder, Inc. “We estimate that if three out of five rate searches are performed by a shipping customer who eventually places a delivery order and if you calculate an approximate  savings of $11.25 per shipment, our visitors have collectively saved close to seven million dollars by using ShipGooder this year.”
