SHOES.COM Creates the World’s First AI Shopping Experience

Today Vancouver-headquartered SHOES.COM announced that they are home to the first AI shopping experience powered by Sentient Aware for e-commerce.

Visitors to SHOES.COM’s Canadian site, SHOEme.ca, can enter the Visual Filter experience by navigating to women’s boots to begin engaging in a word-free, visual conversation with the site.

The site intuitively knows what the user likes through advanced AI and offers highly personalized choices that the customer can select or save for later.

Visual Filter has a deep, highly detailed understanding of the shoes available in the catalog and as consumers click on product images, Visual Filter rapidly learns shoppers’ unique style preferences.

It provides instant recommendations of available shoes, similar to the way a personal shopper in a physical store would help consumers find shoes they love.

“At Shoes.com we strive to be an innovative force focused on empowering people to discover products and brands they love,” said Roger Hardy, CEO and Co-Founder of SHOES.COM.

“Visual Filter does just this – it places the customer in control of the endless aisle by making the connection between the customer’s taste and the aesthetic of the shoe they’re looking for, all in real-time. We’re starting the experience with women’s boots and envision expanding it across our platform in the near future.”

“With the launch of Visual Search, Sentient and Shoes.com are catapulting e-commerce into the age of AI,” said Nikki Laing, SHOES.COM Buyer. “Many consumers don’t know the best way to describe the shoes they want but they know them when they see them. Visual Filter allows our consumers to enjoy a highly interactive discovery process that’s as simple as pointing and clicking. The results are so insightful, it really feels like magic.”
