Vancouver's VersaPay Corporation announced today that they've struck up a partnership with Ottawa-based Shopify in conjunction with the highly-anticipated launch of VersaPay’s eCommerce division.
Shopify is a hosted e-commerce development company. After seeing their own success, the creators of Shopify (WebDev shop Jaded Pixel) realized that they could provide a hosted tool to others to help them sell their products online. And they were right - they hit the $10 Million mark for collective sales on their platform last March and are still going strong.
The partnership with VersaPay will allow them to offer their customers online payment processing at attractive rates, while cutting down on the lengthy application process and high transaction fees that have become the industry norm.
“Our partnership with Shopify will now allow us to deliver efficient, end-to-end solutions for Canadian merchants, in just one stop,” says Michael Gokturk, CEO of VersaPay. “Merchants essentially don’t have to worry about anything. All aspects of getting them online, such as hosting, security, shopping cart selection and payment processing are all taken care of in-house.”
Shopify allows prospective merchants to start selling their products online in as little as 2 minutes and this partnership will help them complete the transaction via VersaPay.
