A couple widget announcements out of Ontario this week - both slightly-engaging in their own way.

Nike Golf Canada has partnered with Oakville-based The Weather Network to launch WeatherEye Golf, a group of widgets and applications that serves weather-related info on 17,000 golf courses in Canada and the US. Tiger Woods-loving golf fanatics will be all over this one.

On the flip side, Toronto's ModiFace Inc. announced today that it is releasing embeddable versions of its popular HairMixer application (think hair-style simulation), as well as its LiftMagic application (virtual cosmetic surgery). ModiFace was founded in 2007 by University of Toronto professor Parham Aarabi.
