Sitemasher sold and winding down... but to whom?

Looks like Techvibes may have been right with our Vancouver's Sitemasher to be acquired by Salesforce? blog post on May 28th.

Sitemasher CEO Ron Moravek sent a "Dear Customer" message today to those affected and we've been forwarded a handful of them. Here's a snippet:

On June 4, 2010, Sitemasher sold all of its technology and operating assets to a third party and is currently winding down its operations.  No further product upgrades or changes to the Sitemasher software or service will be made. Sitemasher will cease to maintain or support its software after September 1, 2010.  Until September 1, 2010, we will continue to bill customers for use of our hosting account, and if you have any help issues, please send us a note at  support@sitemasher.com.

No word yet on whether the assets were acquired by Salesforce but it's only a matter of time before we find out. Salesforce is a publically traded company and as long as the acquisition was significant, they'll have to report it. Stay tuned.
