Canadian Skype users, rejoice!

A new version of Skype's free iPhone app will allow users in Canada to make and receive video calls via 3G cellular networks or WiFi.

The iPhone 4, of course, has FaceTime. But it's only for the latest gen and it's only on WiFi. Skype's app is backward-compatible to the iPhone 3GS, and users can get video calls on their computers from this app, which also works on the iPod Touch and iPad. The app is available now on iTunes.

Oh, and for those worried about Skype's questionable reliability, fret not—according to company officials, it was a Windows problem, not a Skype problem.
