sparkIT 2009 Student Marketing Competition

Calling all university marketing students. Nirix Technology is holding a student marketing competition, open to all students attending a post-secondary institution in Alberta. The competition promises to offer post-secondary students professional with real-world experience and the opportunity to take the role of Brand Manager for a high growth Edmonton based Information Technology company.

The sparkIT student marketing competition assists students to transform innovative marketing ideas into concrete and realistic marketing strategies. This real-world experience will prove to develop valuable skills and understanding of what it takes to stand out from the crowd and develop an off-the-wall, memorable and well executed marketing campaign strategy. Students will be encouraged to push the limits of their creativity and expand their marketing knowledge. Only the most creative, resourceful and detail oriented will reach the finals of the competition and receive industry advice and exposure.

The sparkIT competition is open to all registered full or part-time post-secondary students attending any post-secondary educational institution in Alberta.  The prize package includes $20,000 in tuition grant money and products and services from Dell Canada.

A video conference Q&A will be held on January 12th at The Business Link in Edmonton and Calgary. The application deadline for the competition is January 26, 2009 and the winner will be announced on March 23, 2009.
