SpeakFeel's JoeMobi Adds iOS App Support

For over a year, Toronto-based JoeMobi has allowed bloggers using the Wordpress platform to build their own customized mobile app for BlackBerry and Android devices. Now the service also works for the iPhone and iPad, completing its trifecta of platform support.
Blog publishers download the plugin to their Wordpress site, log on to JoeMobi, and choose the logo and background colors for the app - the whole process takes just a few minutes. Readers then download the app to their device and use it to read and interact with the blog.
So far, publishers have used JoeMobi to create 2,600 apps. Over 34,000 readers have downloaded a JoeMobi customized app to their device and they have accessed those apps 750,000 times.
“The number of JoeMobi app downloads and uses will skyrocket now that blog publishers will see their apps made available to iPhone and iPad users,” says Harry Scanlan. “And adding iOS devices doesn’t change the process at all for the publishers. JoeMobi formats the app properly across all platforms.”
JoeMobi's service costs $1,500 (for all platforms combined), which the company says is "conservatively" one-tenth the cost of building an app otherwise. JoeMobi is a subsidiary of SpeakFeel, which produces enterprise-level mobile applications for Fortune 500 brands and the agencies that manage them.
