Toronto startup Sprouter announced this morning that they have been acquired by Postmedia Network Inc.

Postmedia is Canada’s largest publisher of paid English language newspapers including community-based publications and 50 destination websites.

Sprouter's existing team is returning and according to their blog they will be expanding as well with the help of Postmedia's in-house expertise and resources.

In August Techvibes reported that Sprouter was out of money and closing its doors but later that month CEO Sarah Prevette had hope that it could return.
