StartupNation is calling for entrepreneurs to enter their 2009 Elevator Pitch Contest by submitting a video up to two minutes in length in which you pitch your business idea and your need for investment dollars.

In these tough times, we’re doing our best to increase your odds of raising financing for your business. First and foremost, you’ve got to have a great pitch for your business, ready to be unleashed on prospective investors on the spur of the moment. That’s why we’ve created the 2009 StartupNation Elevator Pitch Contest in which you learn how to give a great pitch, you gain exposure for your business, and, if selected as a winner, you get an opportunity to present your business to real investors.

The five top pitchers - chosen by an panel of early stage investors from among the 100 most voted-for recipients - will receive a Toshiba Satellite Pro S300 laptop computer and an unlimited GoToMeeting subscription.

What's up with the GoToMeeting subscription??  Each of the five winners will be given an opportunity to present their business to the investors in a live, private, online presentation using GoToMeeting. Smart contest and even smarter sponsor/prize combo.
