Strangeloop Networks Speeds Up

Vancouver startup Strangeloop Networks has won accolades for its recent success in winning investment and enthusiasm from industry analysts. A profile in the Vancouver Sun highlights their success:

Just over a year into it, the brothers have chalked up an impressive list of accolades: their company named as one of Canada's top 25 IT up-and-comers; winner of the Windows IT Pro Best of Tech Ed award two years running; named to Vancouver's 40-under-40 list; and, perhaps most importantly, achieving one of the highest Series A round financings in Canadian history with angel investors showering them with $11.5 million.

Strangeloop makes an appliance that "offers real-time network-based optimization for Dynamic Web Applications and improves, by an order of magnitude, the performance and scalability of today’s highly interactive, personalized web applications without changes to software, servers or the network". Interesting to see such buzz about what is essentially a bricks-and-mortar B2B company instead of a hyperific social media startup site. Clearly, they've found their niche.
