San Francisco's StrongLoop has acquired Vancouver-based NodeFly's Node.js monitoring solution.
While terms of the deal were not disclosed, it sounds like StrongLoop will essentially operate the Canadian startup as a subsidiary. Consequently, NodeFly's service has been rebranded to StrongOps.
"The acquisition of NodeFly’s technology provides us with this capability plus rounds out our offering, bringing us closer to fulfilling our vision of a complete toolset for developing Node.js applications," StrongLoop says.
The NodeFly team will continue to develop the NodeFly service as usual, according to StrongLoop.
"Over the long haul, their mission remains unchanged," the company explains. "They will continue to build the best full service Node.js monitoring and management console in the industry. We believe this will complement many of the products that StrongLoop is developing."
