Supermenu and RestoMontreal are two Montreal startups shaking up the restaurant industry.
Supermenu is a new online ordering service. It locates restaurants within your area and lets you order your favourite meals online. The site's layout is promising and the process is fairly simple, plus the fees are lower than competitors. Unfortunately, it's currently only available in Montreal—and you better be able to read French.
Meanwhile, RestoMontreal is aiming to carve a niche in the daily deal space with RestoBoom, which will offer 50 to 90% off dining experiences. I love the idea because restaurant "groupons" are my favourite and usually popular.
RestoMontreal already has an audience of 400,000 monthly visitors, so RestoBoom has a solid foundation.
With a well-established and responsive audience of over 400,000 monthly visitors to the RestoMontreal site, restaurant owners have been quick to register with the new RestoBoom service and capitalize on the added visibility of this niche group buying service.
"We've been promoting restaurants to a very socially-savvy audience for the better part of a decade", said Anthony Mustillo, President of RestoMontreal and RestoBoom. "We know restaurants, we know the market and we're ready to deliver an exciting opportunity for diners to get out more and get more out of being out."
RestoBoom is availble throughout Montreal and Ontario, and extends to Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Vancouver, and Victoria.
