BlackberryA hackathon is where programmers, developers and designers meet to collaborate. This weekend (November 26 – 28), RIM is hosting the Blackberry Hackathon Against Cancer. The purpose of this Hackathon is to bring Blackberry developers from Brazil ( and Toronto ( to create mobile applications that help combat and cope with cancer.

Having attended events like Startup Weekend Toronto, the energy and passion in the room is contagious! The biggest takeaways from events of this nature are the people you meet. These individuals are the same people who are leading the Toronto landscape in their own disciplines.
