Last year a handful of government agencies including the Canadian Interactive Alliance provided financial assistance to help 20 Canadians get down to the South By Southwest Interactive Festival (SXSW) to the tune of $700 each in reimbursed expenses. Not surprisingly it was a popular ticket,
Also not surprisingly, this year the offer of support has been updated to reflect a decrease in funding.
Come celebrate the creativity and passion behind the coolest new media technologies at SXSW Interactive 2009! In addition to panel sessions that cover everything from Web design to bootstrapping to social networks, attendees can make new business connections at the three-day Trade Show & Exhibition and take in ScreenBurn, a free sister event dedicated to all things gaming-related.
The Canadian Interactive Alliance/L'Alliance interactive canadienne is pleased to offer interested parties the following package thanks to Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada's PEMD-TA program:
- More than a 40% discount off the price of your Interactive Badge (conference admission);
- Access to two meeting rooms on the Mezzanine Level of the Austin Convention Center for pre-booked and, when available, ad hoc meetings;
