Tagga launches SMS Reminders During Olympics

Earlier this week Vancouver's Tagga Media launched two updated SMS programs to help Vancouverites and visitors to get the most out of the Olympics with all the great events happening in the city.

Subscribers to the service will receive ONE daily SMS reminder of upcoming events and each text message will link to a mobile-friendly website that has more details on the events.

  • For those who want alerts on free concerts: Text freeshows to 82442
  • For those who want alerts on family-friendly fun: Text yoyo to 82442

And for those people who have never used a short code before, Tagga has some advice:

  1. Type 82442 where you normally enter the phone #
  2. Type freeshows (no spaces) in the body of the text message
  3. Hit send.  Eh, voila!

Msg&data rates may apply. Hat Tip to the new VX Blog.
