Techvibes Start-Up Career Fair: a 6S Story

Posted by Rob Lewis on Tue, June 10, 2008 3:43 PM · Filed under Vancouver , Tech Events, Internet Marketing · 2 Comments

Feedback from the inaugural Techvibes Start-Up Career Fair has been great - we've received some excellent suggestions on the format and will try to integrate them into future iterations. While I've heard from a few presenting companies that interviews have been fast and furious since the event, this week marks the first official hire as a result of a connection made there.

Chris Breikss of 6S Marketing met four potential candidates for his Internet Marketing company at our Career Fair. One candidate in particular stood out after being formally interviewed the next day. Turns out she had moved to Vancouver two weeks prior and had extensive experience in the industry. A job offer quickly followed and this new employee started yesterday at 6S Marketing.
