Techvibes TV: Checkfront's Grant Jurgeneit at the GROW 2011 Conference

by Rob Lewis | Startups

Earlier this summer Victoria startup Checkfront won the Emerging Technology Company of the Year award at the VIATeC Awards - an annual awards event that celebrate excellence and innovation in Greater Victoria and Vancouver Island.

Not a bad accomplishment for a company that is only one year old.

In a nutshell Checkfront helps schedule-based businesses (think accomodations, tours, and rental businesses) manage, market, and sell their services online.

As part of Techvibes coverage of the C100's 48 Hours in the Valley event last year we profiled several of the Canadian startups attending the event and one of them was Checkfront. Knowlton Thomas interviewed Checkfront co-founder Jason Morehouse about his experience in the Valley.

Techvibes' Michelle Sklar got a chance to sit down with co-founder Grant Jurgeneit at the GROW 2011 Conference in Vancouver last month. Video after the jump.
