Telus Launches Karaoke App for Optik TV Customers

Posted by Knowlton Thomas

Telus will enable customers to have karaoke nights in their living rooms with the addition of the Karaoke Channel TV app for Optik TV.

Partnering with Stingray Digital, Telus says that all Optik TV customers can access an on-demand library of 8,000 karaoke videos.

Songs will be added regularly so you you’ll always find new songs to sing. The easy-to-use interface enables you to browse, search and quickly find songs using the TV remote control, while ready-to-sing playlists allow you the convenience of quickly finding songs to sing from pre-selected hit songs categorized by theme! The Karaoke Channel TV App also features a full-screen mode, and an optional lead vocal track to help you hit those notes.

“Telus Optik TV subscribers can now unleash their inner rocker, pop star or country crooner,” says Greg Goodwin, vice-president of Telus Home Solutions. “Customers want more out of their TV experience and we are committed to making that happen."

"As we continue to roll-out our karaoke products and services worldwide, we are pleased to partner with Telus to release this interactive karaoke application on Optik TV," added Eric Boyko, president and CEO of Stingray Digital, owner of The Karaoke Channel.

Find the app by pressing the “app” or “interactive” button on your Optik TV remote. Alternatively, you can tune to channel 598 or 7507.
