In preparation for the 2009 LG Canadian Texting Championship Finals on June 29th in Toronto, LG is taking their show on the road in search of Canada's best texters and they're on the West Coast this week.

From April 16-19th, contest organizers will be on-site at the Richmond Centre Mall so that you can test your speed and SMS accuracy. Two regional qualifiers will be chosen from the Ontario Division, Western Division, Eastern Division, and Central Division to compete in the Canadian Championships in June.

To drum up some interest, event organizers are inviting Vancouver media to compete in an ultimate text message challenge this Friday where the champ wins $1,000 to donate to their favorite charity.

Techvibes got an invite and we're passing that spot on to one of our readers. So, if you've got fast fingers and a charity that you'd like to support, tell us why we should choose you in a comment to this blog post. We'll pick one lucky texter at 5:00pm tomorrow to represent Techvibes and announce it here on the blog.

Note: The winner need to be at Richmond Centre Mall from 11:45am - 1:00pm on Friday, April 17th.
