The Network for Business Sustainability and Sustainable Waterloo are offering an in-depth workshop on CSR and Social Media 2010 which hopes to provide the information needed to optimize social media tools and enhance the value of corporate social responsibility initiatives. The conference is intended to arm attendees with the skills to manage the risks and capitalize on the full potential of social media. You'll have the chance to discuss your experiences and ideas with the experts, and benefit from emerging best practices to increase the effectiveness of your social media efforts.

Early adopters and social media thought leaders will discuss their experiences as they describe how you can:leverage social media opportunities and manage new risks and expectations, increase real-time transparency and disclosure with social media, use new tools to monitor, manage, and evaluate your organization’s reputation, engage customers, activists, and other stakeholders with social media, select the right tools and platforms to improve your company’s community engagement, measure and sustain the effectiveness of your social media efforts, differentiate on social or environmental responsibility claims with social media tools and produce interactive, accessible, and effective sustainability reports.

One the most respected and widely read bloggers on CSR and corporate volunteering, Chris Jarvis will address issues and questions raised throughout the day, and will offer tips on the best platforms and ways to promote transparency, feedback, and dialogue. End the day with this engaging review of strategies for authentic, interactive, and results-driven engagement.
