With school wrapping up across Canada today for the Christmas break parents are wondering how they're going to keep their kids busy over the holiday season.

Not to worry if you're in Montreal or Toronto.

Montreal startup The Kid Scoop offers hyper-local, targeted ideas for family outings, planning kids’ activities and “deals & steals” from local area merchants.

Parents sign-in to the site and register key information, including their children’s ages and specific interests, and their location or neighborhood. The Kid Scoop then delivers a customized plan with suitable activities that can be registered and paid for online.

In Toronto this week The Kid Scoop recommended their Top 6 Activity Picks for the Holidays as well as the Top 5 kid-friendly Skating Rinks in Toronto.

The Kid Scoop came online in June 2009 in Montreal, recently expanded to Toronto and has plans to expand into other Canadian cities in 2012 including Calgary and Vancouver.
