Three Canadian Tech Startups Make Red Herring Top 100 List for 2012

Red Herring has released the 2012 edition of its Top 100 Americas list, which honours the most promising private technology ventures in the US and Canada. 97% of these companies are from the US this year, but three Canadian companies did manage to make the list.

One was Montreal's Azzimov. Azzimov is in the social networking and media sector, offering an intelligent product-centric search platform.

Another is Vancouver's PageFreezer Software. The aptly named company describes itself as an SaaS provider of social media archiving. PageFreezer captures and stores online content in its original format for regulatory and legal matters down the road.

Finally there is Wajam. The Montreal-based startup's main product is a social search engine.
