York Entrepreneurship program application extended

If you have a start-up or not-for-profit venture, the York Entrepreneurship Development Institute (YEDI) offers a free 12-week startup incubator program to help build investor-ready businesses. Selected applicants will receive instruction and mentorship from some of the best in the industry, and participants will have a chance at $500,000 of funding. The program runs Sept. 16 to Dec. 16 in Toronto, and the application deadline is extended to Aug. 22.

#MaketersUnbound 3

Uberflip and Marketers Without Borders bring this educational and networking event to the Uberflip office on King Street. Two presenters will speak about best practices for marketing content and answer questions from attendees. There is no charge, but you’ll need to RSVP for one of the limited spots. Aug. 21 in Toronto.

An API Love Story

Attend this densely-packed presentation to learn much about application programming interfaces (APIs). Security, authorization, monitoring, analytics and many more topics will be discussed. Come with NodeJS, Yeoman and ExpressJS already installed so the group wastes no time jumping into the good stuff. Aug. 26 in Toronto.
