The application deadline for Canada's Top 10 Competition has been extended to Sept. 11th - so if you're looking to raise between $2 and $50 Million, get your entry in now. The OCRI sponsored competition is an annual national investment competition that identifies 10 leading companies in the cleantech, technology and life sciences sector.

With the state of VC investing in Canada, the competition is a valuable opportunity for Canadian companies to get some face-to-face time with some of North America's leading investors. Originally developed to promote the 10 most promising life science companies from across Canada to Canadian and international investors and partners, the competition now showcases Canada's life sciences, cleantech and technology sectors.

Working in partnership with Canadian Consulates in Boston, New York City, San Diego and San Francisco, the winning companies will participate in targeted investment forums in each city, providing them with an opportunity to meet with VC investors who have expressed an active interest in financing these companies.

Since its inception in 1999, Canada's Top 10 Competition alumni have secured more than $500M in venture capital financing.
