Toronto-based Syncapse, a global leader in social media technology, yesterday announced that John Nugent is joining the company as Managing Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa.  syncapse

John’s appointment is further evidence of the growth potential in EMEA as well as our commitment to maintaining our leadership position as the top social media technology provider for brands and agency partners.  John brings a wealth of leadership experience to Syncapse and his appointment will allow our client base to experience increased returns on their investment in social media technology.

Nugent joins Syncapse from his previous leadership role as Vice President and General Manager EMEA for Responsys where he grew the team and annual revenue by 200 per cent in three years. Prior to Responsys, he held leadership roles at DoubleClick, where he was responsible for revenue growth and advisory services for leading consumer brands across Europe.

Engaging with consumers using social media technology is now a business necessity for marketers. The opportunity to improve the relevance of brand communications - and sales - through enhanced consumer engagement is significant.  Syncapse has a unique depth and breadth of experience in providing social media marketing technology to enterprise clients and I anticipate high demand for our suite of solutions in Europe.
