Toronto Startup Evangelist Joins OMERS Ventures

OMERS Ventures announced today that David Crow will be joining its team as Evangelist in Residence.

In this newly formed role, Crow will advocate OMERS Ventures within the technology community. Crow will also help run OMERS Ventures programs and initiatives and participate in technical and business due diligence.

"When describing David's impact on the startup and tech communities, the words 'leader' and 'community builder' immediately come to mind. His significant experience with growth technology companies and his passion for great products and ideas will be of huge value to OMERS Ventures," said John Ruffolo, CEO of the venture capital firm.

Techvibes' readers will most likely know Crow from his work with StartupNorth, a startup blog he cofounded with Jevon Macdonald and Jonas Brandon. Crow also currently serves on the board of Lymbix, and is an advisor to Hacker You, Bunch, PrintChomp and TribeHR.

OMERS has been very active in hte past three months with investments in Halifax's LeadSift, Toronto's Wattpad, and Kitchener's Desire2Learn.
