Toronto startup Shweet partners with AOL Canada to create the MyNXNE iPhone app

Posted by Andrea Wahbe

Yesterday, AOL Canada announced that they have partnered with Toronto social sharing startup Shweet.com to provide a socialMyNXNE App screenshot contesting platform and to create the MyNXNE iPhone app that offers music festival information and chances to win prizes while on the go.

Throughout the NXNE festival and conference happening in Toronto from June 13– 19, users can win concert access and other Spinner and NXNE prizes by sharing Spinner.ca articles to their social networks via Shweet and the MyNXNE app.

According to Keith Bates, founder and CEO of Shweet.com, "NXNE was the perfect opportunity to reach music lovers with exciting prizes and provide access to some of the hottest music acts in the city."

The MyNXNE iPhone app is available for download now on iTunes. You can use it to look-up information about concert venues, show-times, schedules, and artist information. It’s also easy to add a show to your iPhone calendar.

Enjoy the festival Toronto!
