According to Statistics Canada, the Canadian economy gained a surprising 79,000 jobs in November, with the unemployment rate easing 0.1 percentage points to 8.5%.
The story hasn't been quite as rosy in the telecommunications sector. Rogers Communications laid off 900 at the end of November in an effort to "streamline operations"...
