Toronto's 500px Aims to Take out Flickr with New $20 Plan

Toronto-based photo-sharing startup 500px is making a bold move to take out Vancouver-born Flickr with a new $20 annual subscription.

500px had previously priced their high-level plan at $50 per year. But the new Plus membership’s $20 per year pricing now undercuts Flickr's own pro-level plan, which clocks in at $25 per year. The two competitors have been at war for a while now.

Here’s what comes with 500px's new plan:

  • Unlimited number of collections
  • Market functionality inclusion
  • Advanced statistics on engagement
