Toronto's 500px launches new iPad App

TechCrunch reported this morning that Toronto startup darling 500px is now available on the iPad in app format.

The new app includes all the feeds you would find on the site, including the feeds for Popular, Editor’s Choice, Upcoming and Fresh photos, plus access to your own photos and those belonging to your friends, the ability to like, favorite and comment on photos.

500px raised a $525K Series A round with investment from High Line Venture Capital, Deep Creek Capital and ff Venture Capital in June and has been making news ever since.

Earlier this month Techvibes reported that 500px was on fire with 6,000,000 visits, 3,000,000 unique visitors, and 50,000,000 pageviews in September 2011.

Techvibes has been tracking 500px on our Toronto Startup Index for months and earlier today they jumped to the #2 spot on the Index behind Idée Inc.'s TinEye.
