Toronto's Polar Mobile seals major deal with Intel
On the heels of deals with tech titans like Microsoft and Research In Motion, Toronto's Polar Mobile has now struck up another one, this time with computer chip maker Intel.
Intel developed Meego in partnership with Nokia to try and compete with Apple's iOS and Google's Android. In order to compete, Intel knew it needed a strong base of apps out of the gate.
That's when it gave Polar Mobile a ring.
Polar, which developed the Techvibes mobile apps, will be producing nearly 100 smartphone and tablet apps for global companies that will run on Intel's new mobile platform.
Polar previously built 500 apps for Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 platform and 150 apps for RIM's BlackBerry PlayBook.
