Toronto's WagJag offers sweet Wind Mobile deal
Toronto-based WagJag, a Groupon-esque startup, today has a deal involving Wind Mobile.
It's a pretty sweet and relevant deal, offering a data stick for $29, a 77 percent discount from its regular price of $125. You also get to use the stick for $29 per month for the first year, a discount from the regular $45. You can even get two per person.
However...
While laptop users are apt to rejoice, a dark cloud still hangs over WagJag - when we first mentioned it on Techvibes (and for some time after), comments came fast and furious that the Toronto startup was unreliable, inconsistent, unfair, and even downright shady. Many complained about poor customer service, lack of communication and responsiveness, refund scams, etc.
At the very end of last year, WagJag's CEO addressed these concerns. But reputations tainted by a lack of trust are difficult to recover, so buy this deal at your own discretion.
