Toronto's Wattpad is Finally Available on Amazon's Kindle Fire

Toronto startup has informed Techvibes that its mobile reading app is now available on Amazon's Kindle Fire. Before, it was noted that Amazon was controversially blocking certain competing apps to its own platform, including multiple Canadian competitors such as Wattpad.

But the Toronto startup says that, "after some healthy discussion, Amazon has advised us that we are now welcome and searchable on their tablet." Before, users had to undertake a tedious workaround to access Wattpad's content.

Amazon was also blocking Kobo and Aldiko, among others. Some called it cheap and unfair while others said Amazon had no obligation to make the apps easily accessible.
