Tourism Montreal Site Gets a Webby

Congratulations to Tourism Montreal for grabbing the Internet's highest award for their Web site in the tourism category at this year's Webby Awards.  The site recently announced a bold move to go a 100% online with its advertising instead of the traditional print and TV ads approach. They've also hired five bloggers full-time – each with an expertise to the city – to promote Montreal to travellers.  The site was designed by Sid Lee

Other Canadian winners include the blog 1000 Awesome Things, The Curse of Degrassi by Epitome Pictures and OneMethod's Nokia Accessories Portfolio.  Nearly 10,000 entries were submitted for the 13th Annual Awards.
